Hello world! I'm just starting out with my new blog and I'm very excited. In the coming days I will be posting pictures of my work and all types of things that inspire me. I'll also be posting updates, places where you can see me (in real life), places where you can see my work (in virtual life and real life) and what I'm doing.
A non-Amy Abrams Designs update:
This weekend I will be going on retreat with members of my beloved college a capella singing group the University of Maryland Treble Makers (from here on referred to as the Trebs). I sang with the UMD Trebs in the early '90's and it was the highlight of my college experience! I'm so excited to be meeting Trebs old and new and singing all weekend. In a few weeks we will be performing all together at the 20'th anniversery concert of the Trebs. I'll post details of the concert when I know them.
A sort-of Amy Abrams Designs update:
As most people who know me are aware I am putting forth most of my efforts in metal clay and pretty much giving up stringing. I'll still be doing a little bit of wire-wrapping and such. The upshot of this is that I have a ridiculous amount of materials that I am divesting myself of. A lot of it is really nice, I've just had it for ages and it no longer inspires me. In the next week or so I'll be posting listings on my Etsy "detash" account and possibly on eBay to hopefully make a few dollars for these materials. I have several hundred grams of Hilltribe silver beads, Bali, Indian and Turkish silver beads, pearls up the whazoo, gemstones and some really, really beautiful pendants. As soon as I have pictures I will post some here.
A genuine Amy Abrams Designs update:
I've posted a new photo gallery for the first time in nearly 3 years to my Flickr account. In the coming month I plan to make new things, take new pictures and post items on Etsy. I will post updates as I make them.
Thanks for reading my post and I'll be checking in probably after this busy, busy weekend!
